Sentar is an Authorized CMMC C3PAO

Sentar is an Accredited C3PAO by the Cyber Accreditation Board and is currently providing early CMMC Certifications to DOD Contractors under the provisional DOD-sanctioned Joint Surveillance Voluntary (JSV) assessment program.

What is the DOD-sanctioned Joint Surveillance Voluntary Assessment Program?

A Joint Surveillance Voluntary Assessment is under the authority of the DOD’s Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Assessment Center (DIBCAC). DIBCAC will be performing a DFARS 252.204-7020 High Confidence Assessment (as defined in DFARS 252.204-7020) along with Sentar’s trained, certified CMMC assessors, who will participate and observe. At the completion of the JSV assessment, your organization will be recognized as successfully completing the DIBCAC High Confidence Assessment. Once the formal rule changes related to DFARS 252.204-7012/7019/7020/7021 are finalized and published, Sentar’s status, along with every other accredited C3PAO, will convert to an Authorized C3PAO and can then award your organization a CMMC LV2 Certificate. That Certificate will be valid for three years from that date. The DIBCAC JSV Program will also cease to exist at that time.

CMMC C3PAO JSV Assessments

The Cyber-AB has established the CMMC Marketplace to provide a list of authorized CMMC Third Party Assessment Organizations (C3PAOs) with Sentar listed as the 17th Authorized C3PAO. Our Certified CMMC Professionals are trained and ready to provide formal assessments for Organizations Seeking Certification (OSCs).
  • CMMC JSV assessments are conducted under the authority of DIBCAC and follows their DFARS 252.204-7020 High Confidence Assessment process. This process can be a bit easier to pass due to a higher allowance of unmet controls, especially 3 and 5 point ones, being allowed 180 days for remediation as directed by a Corrective Action Plan that is provided at the end of the assessment week.
  • Voluntary Certified CMMC Assessments are limited in availability
  • Dates for your JSV will be assigned by DIBCAC and are mostly booked through Fall of 2024
  • Required CMMC Certification Assessments can be required on New and re-competed Contracts as soon as June 2025
