Sentar Recruits Former NIWC Atlantic Medical Information Delivery – Chief Engineer


Sentar continues pattern of growth, hiring Ernesto Brux as Director of Navy, Marine Corps, Health IT Division.

Huntsville, AL – April 4, 2019 – Sentar, Inc. (Sentar), a Women-Owned Small Business specializing in advanced Cybersecurity and Intelligence services and technology, announced today that Ernesto Brux has joined Sentar as Director within the Navy, Marine Corps and Health IT division. In his new role, Brux will contribute expertise within the rapidly growing San Antonio market, while also supporting Sentar clientele in San Diego (NIWC Pacific, Marine Corps), Colorado, etc.

Brux brings over 20 years of experience in Software and Systems Engineering, which includes leading and managing Software Engineering efforts for NIWC Europe; overseeing the day-to-day operations and providing long-term strategic direction for NIWC Atlantic, Information Operations and Cyber Programs. In his previous role as the Medical Information Delivery – Chief Engineer and Senior Software Systems Engineer for NIWC Atlantic, Brux focused on delivering value to customers such as Defense Health Agency, AF Medical Operations Agency, NAVMISSA, 24th AF, JEWC, 92nd IOS, and Department of Homeland Security. He also helped identify and implement an organizational vision that integrated key national program goals, priorities, and values with those of the corporation. Brux has supported the CyberPatriot Center of Excellence – the National High School Cyber Defense Competition in San Antonio as well as the AFCEA Alamo Chapter.

Brux holds a Master’s of Science in Software Engineering, and a second Master’s of Science in Systems Engineering, both from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. He has successfully completed his Defense Acquisition University – SPRDE Level 3 certification as well his Program Management Level 2 certification. He holds numerous certifications in Data Science & Analytics from Johns Hopkins University.
