Fault Tolerant Intelligent Agents [1997]

Fault-Tolerant Intelligent Agents

As networking and distributed systems grew in use, Sentar Subject Matter Experts (SME) recognized the challenge of maintaining critical system-to-system communications when they weren't built to do so. They set out to design an intelligent agent-based system that would provide a fault tolerant layer above or around each system, such that the agent protected it's assigned system from receiving communications that could cause the system to crash. The problems this type of architecture and resiliency solves are still challenging systems today.

This foresightful R&D and Systems Engineering effort resulted in the award of one of Sentar's Cyber Security patents (#6,212,649 B1).
