Huntsville, AL – August 17, 2016

Inc. Magazine today ranked Sentar, a Women-Owned Small Business Government Contractor specializing in cybersecurity and Intel, as the 1593rd highest company on its 35th annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The Inc. 5000 represents the most important segments of the economy, joining companies such as Dell, LinkedIn, Zillow, Yelp, Pandora and many other prominent businesses that gained early public exposure as members of the Inc. 5000. Sentar’s continued success has led to a three-year sales growth of 237 percent, positioning Sentar as the 24th fastest-growing company in Alabama and 63rd of all Government Services companies.

“We are honored to be named to the fastest-growing companies on the Inc. 5000 list for 2016,” said Bridget Abashian, CEO and president of Sentar. “Our growth and success over the years can be attributed to having an outstanding team focused on our customers’ critical missions in their support of our nation’s Warfighters. In such a highly innovative, ever-changing complex industry as cybersecurity, it takes extraordinary people to take a company to the top. The average company on the Inc. 5000 list grew nearly six-fold since 2012.”

The 2016 Inc. 5000, unveiled online at Inc.com is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. The aggregate revenue is $200 billion, and the companies on the list collectively generated over 640,000 jobs over the past three years, or about eight percent of all jobs created in the entire American economy during that period.
