KnoWave™
Knowave is a company that was
created to commercialize Sentar's patented
KnoWeb™ Technology
KnoWeb™ is a knowledge management system that supports inquiries of
distributed
knowledge resources. Where a database collects and sorts
information, KnoWeb™
collects, sorts, analyzes, and makes decisions
based on information. It turns the
information into knowledge. KnoWeb™ represents the next frontier in large-scale
knowledge bases,
allowing a multitude of knowledge-based systems in various, and
sometimes competing and conflicting, disciplines to work together.
KnoWeb™ breaks huge
knowledge bases into smaller units called knowledge modules.
In a
distributed object management architecture using fault-tolerant
intelligent agents,
these small, independent modules are able
to reason cooperatively and resolve conflicts
between one another.
To the user, this means the transformation of the Web from a place
where information is only sought to a place where answers are found.
If you would like to speak to someone about how
KnoWeb™ can turn a
plethora of
information into valuable knowledge,
contact Sentar. |

Telecommunication installer automated documentation
system; Automated pre-paid
cellular telephone system;
Telecommunications equipment reporting system
Our team developed custom software written in VB, VC++, and ATL.
Most of the software
is for the NT client side of the application
making heavy use of Microsoft's COM
technology. We also provided
components for the UNIX server side of the application. The
application is used to produce Microsoft Word documents used by
field engineers when
installing telecommunication equipment for
local telephone providers.
The system that one part of our team is developing provides an
automated means
whereby an operator can activate or update service
for a prepaid cellular phone. The
customer provides nationwide
prepaid service for several cellular carriers.

EC Dataflow
Electronic Fax Tracking System"We
have been extremely pleased with the work performed by Sentar. Not
only is the
resulting product good, but the employees at Sentar are
very easy to work with
throughout the life cycle of the project.
They have the knowledge base and the skill
necessary to accomplish
almost any project. Plus, they don't try to charge for
unnecessary
planning cycles and product research. We will definitely employ
their
services again"
D.H.L.
Manger, Software Development
EC Dataflow, Inc.
"We are extremely pleased
with the work performed by Sentar. They deliver what they
promise --
on time and on budget. Their knowledge and skill set significantly
reduces the
development risk on almost any software project. We
enjoyed our relationship with the
company and certainly will use
them again on future projects. "
Ancel Sherrard, President
EC Dataflow, Inc.
EC Dataflow is a service bureau organization serving the
insurance industry in claims filing
and processing. Sentar recently
developed a software program to help EC Dataflow
automate an claims
handling procedure that lacked efficiency and was costing the
company money.
A tremendous amount of time was being spent to manually input
claims information
coming in from physicians' offices in response to
a request from EC Dataflow. This
communication occurred by
facsimile. Sentar developed an automated procedure using
bar codes
to automatically enter incoming claims information into the EC
Dataflow
database, without human intervention.
The EC Dataflow project is an excellent example of the level of
personalized customer
service that Sentar offers. Before coming to
Sentar, EC Dataflow had tried unsuccessfully
to outsource the
development of this project, so the job was already behind schedule.
In
light of the time crunch, Sentar produced a 'hybrid' software
requirements and functional
specification which laid out a complete
plan for design, documentation, and
implementation of the project,
along with realistic time estimates. Despite several
obstacles, the
project was delivered ahead of schedule and under budget.
