Computer Network Defense Systems Integration

Sentar develops advanced technology in support of computer network defense and software information assurance.  Using Sentar’s KnoWeb® technology, researchers developed a comprehensive solution for addressing a broad range of cyber threats and threats from malicious insiders.  Key to the success of this solution lies in our ability to quickly integrate external systems and sensors into this KnoWeb® environment.  To date, more than 20 external system/sensors are integrated.

National Missile Defense BMC3 Communications, Integration and Test

Sentar supported the prime contract with the integration of this facility accomplishing a successful integration of the NDM network, integration with other host systems, and procedures developed to simplify the integration of network components and hosts.
  • Integration of COTS network equipment - planning & execution
  • Resolution of interface issues, both hardware and software
  • Routing of test driver traffic through representative NMD network of FDDI  LANS and DS-3 WAN
  • Integration of NMD network with other host systems

Sentar supports the prime contractor with integration and test services. Sentar activities include:
  • Testing IFICS and the CNE/NFM
  • Supporting IFICS system engineers in developing Verification Objects (VO)
  • Development of Test Plans
  • Supported on-site critical test missions, Sentar employees are called upon to travel to the Kwajalein Atoll of the Marshall Islands in the Pacific Ocean for technical support
