   Malware Analyst

Location: Ft. Meade, MD

Ideal candidates will be capable and have experience in several of the following areas. 

Use knowledge of reverse engineering and malware analysis to evaluate complex malicious code. In depth knowledge and application of tools such as dissemblers, debuggers, hex editors, un-packers, virtual machines, and network sniffers. Ability to discover vulnerabilities in binaries and defensive mechanisms. Provide a detail-oriented technical report of the malware, identification parameters, advanced capabilities, and mitigation strategies.  Perform research of malicious software and exploitation tactics.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with network security, application security, reverse engineering, or malware

  • Knowledge of Windows internals and the Win32 API

  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph 

 Additional Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in a related field

  • Experience in program and system analysis with various tools ( IDA Pro, Ollydbg, PCAP tools, or TCP Dump)

  • Expert level capability to analyze worms, viruses, trojans, rootkits and bots.

  • Experience with web and assembly programming with knowledge of C++, C, Python, PERL, Assembly.

  • Experience using network security attack and prevention tools.

  • Experience conducting security assessments and penetration testing.

  • Ability to be an effective member of a team

  • Possession of excellent technical writing skills

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
